About

Nicolette Machado

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW

I am a graduate of Penn State University, where I earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2003, and the University of Pittsburgh, where I completed my Social Work degree in 2006. I bring experience from a wide range of social work settings, including hospitals, schools, mobile services supporting individuals in their homes and communities, and group outpatient clinics.

An open and welcoming approach shapes how I invite clients into the therapeutic space, with the intention of helping each person feel safe, valued, and truly heard from the very beginning. My work is guided by empathy and grace, creating space for individuals to explore their experiences without fear of judgment and at a pace that feels right for them. I believe that steady support and positive reinforcement are essential to healing, and I strive to walk alongside clients as they develop insight, emotional strength, and a renewed sense of self-trust.

As a therapist, I value authentic connection and attentive presence, and I consider it a privilege to support clients on their individual paths toward growth and well-being.
